Steven F. McNeilly

Steven F. McNeilly began his financial service career at American Portfolios as an intern while in college. Since joining American Portfolios in 2008, Steven has progressed from a non-registered to a registered assistant to Patricia Flaherty McNeilly, ChFC® , AIF®. Steven became a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) in 2012 and holds a Series 7 as well as a New Jersey life and health license. Steven specializes in the retirement plan area. He completed The 401k Coach® program, recognized for establishing a six-step consulting model. Steven is an integral part of the continued success of the family business.
Steven prides himself on his passion for helping and empowering people around the financial elements of their lives so that they may focus on what they love to do.
After graduating from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Economics and The Classics, Steven had a successful career with Paychex, Inc. as a Sales Consultant. He finished third in his sales school class in his rookie year, formed strategic relationships, and sold payroll services to small businesses in the Westport, Connecticut area.
While at Rutgers, Steven was a member of the Rutgers University Varsity Lightweight Crew team. During his years on the team, they were always one of the top ten teams in the country. After college the Olympic Athletes Rowing at Saugatuck (O.A.R.S.) program in Westport, CT with a mission to produce Olympians recruited him to train for the U.S. National Team. Steven trained with this prestigious organization before joining the family business. He continues to contribute towards his passion for rowing and coaching as the assistant coach of the Montclair High School Crew Team.
